Marigold Flower Tea

Ingredients: 100% Marigold Flowers (Calendula officinalis L.).

Marigold flower is a medicinal plant widely used in traditional medicine for the treatment of skin problems, mainly burns and inflammations.

This plant also has other incredible benefits, such as protecting the liver, regulating blood sugar levels, and even strengthening the immune system.

1. Accelerates skin healing

Its ability to stimulate healing is the main benefit for which marigol is known, and there are several studies that prove its positive effect on the healing of various types of wounds, from cuts to burns.

2. Protects the liver

According to some recent studies, the use of marigold infusion is able to protect liver cells from injuries caused by the use of some medications, especially acetaminophen.

3. Regulates blood sugar levels

Marigold flowers contain compounds that seem to increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin, causing blood sugar levels to remain more controlled.

4. Relieves inflammation of the mucous membranes

Due to its strong anti-inflammatory, soothing and healing actions, marigold can also be used to decrease inflammations in the mouth, such as thrush or gingivitis, as well as other body mucous membranes.

5. Strengthens the immune system

Marigold has a strong antioxidant action due to its rich composition in alkaloids, carotenoids, and flavonoids, which are able to eliminate free radicals and strengthen the immune system.

Preparation mode: Place 2 tablespoons of marigold flowers in 500ml boiling water and leave to rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Then strain and drink 1/2 cup in the morning and 1/2 in the evening.
